2015 IMG Charitable Golf Open teed up

The announcement of Integrated Marine Group's annual Charitable Golf Open Day, confirmed for 10 December 2015, has been met with widespread support and uptake from both sponsors and entrants alike.

Environmentally conscious Integrated Marine Group (IMG) have elected to support Treasure Islands' "Keeping the Hauraki Gulf Pest Free & Accessable" initiative this year.

"The Hauraki Gulf Marine Park is a fantastic area comprising 1.2 million hectares of ocean and 30 island groups" says IMG Director Tony Whiting. "We are contributing to this to increase public access and pest eradication of this unique area."

The opening of limited sponsorship opportunities for the IMG Charitable Golf Open Day has seen a flood of applications from across the marine industry and associates in the print, public relations, marketing and hospitality sectors. Confirmed sponsors include NZ Millennium Cup 2016, Robinson Interiors, General Marine Services, EAL Electric (EAL), Harken, Shipco 360, Superyacht Coatings, Doyle Sails, TNL GAC Pindar Ltd., NZ Millennium Cup 2016, Albatross PR, Network Visuals, and crew-drink darlings Jack Tars. More are set to be confirmed over the following week.

"We look forward to the event every year" says Stuart Robinson of Robinson Interiors. "Its a great way to support a fantastic cause while expanding networks and building relationships in the industry."

Discerning captains and crew have also been quick to organise teams and stamp their mark on their party's golf cart including crew from Shamoun and Beagle who are all set to tee off on the big day. With new entrants being confirmed daily, the event is set to be a resounding success.

“We are wanting this to be the best year yet" says Emma Bates, IMG's Yacht Support & Crew Placement Manager. "With some great prizes for the players and a fun day to be had for the sponsors as well,  we are looking forward to getting out on the greens with fellow industry members and yacht crews and having a brilliant time.”

Tickets this year are $120.00 which include green fees, drinks on the course, a light BBQ lunch, prize giving and return transportation to Westhaven.
